Forensic study shows BBC bias against Palestinians

The Centre for Media Monitoring has carried out another forensic analysis of the BBC coverage on Gaza-Israel.
They looked at “3,873 BBC articles and 32,092 broadcast segments from 7 October 2023 to 6 October 2024, alongside a comparative analysis of 7,748 articles on the war in Ukraine. During the 12-month analysis period, 42,010 Palestinians and 1,246 Israelis were killed – a ratio of 34:1.” They also looked at the language used and the lack of context that meant, for example, that the attack by Hamas on 7th October 2023 was referenced in c 40% of the BBC’s online coverage, not even 1% of these article mentioned Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. Similarly interviewees were frequently asked to condemn Hamas and none were asked to condemn Israel.

BBC Gives Israeli Deaths 33 Times More Coverage, New Study Reveals

We all know this, of course, but it is good to see our beliefs confirmed with statistics.
One point: in the interests of openness, I think it should be made clear that, in the words, of the CfMM website, it is “a Muslim Council of Britain project”. If we hide that fact, we are playing into our enemies’ hands (and failing to do what we criticised the other report for doing – revealing its funding).
Interesting how the BBC says there shouldn’t be a reliance on AI, and counting words. That’s exactly what the pro-Israeli report did. They counted the number of words that they said proved the BBC’s anti Israel bias, when in fact the words they selected were evidence of the opposite. As usual, the BBC was quick to fold under Zionist pressure..
