BBC bias against Palestinians proved again and again and again

This is a report by someone who was present at the meeting at the House of Commons earlier this week to present and discuss the findings of that forensic report by the Centre for Media Monitoring that showed how the BBC is biased against Palestinians in its reporting. Examples include how almost everyone who speaks in support of Palestinians is asked to condemn Hamas and no-one is asked to condemn Israel. We could note how far too often Palestinians “die” but Israelis are “killed” or “murdered”.
The BBC is one of the most important mainstream media outlets and it is crucial that we keep campaigning against this even when they have now decided not to broadcast the documentary they commissioned on medics in Gaza operating under fire.

This bias is easily detected if monitoring other news sources, as, even when having a similar bias they rarely tell the same story.
The use of passive bias is also very obvious, once it is explained. I suppose this is second nature to journalists but to the general public it is hidden a bit like the old idea of subliminal indoctrination.
previous BBC director Mark Thomson, went to Tel Aviv to reassure prime minister Ariel Sharon that the BCC was “on side” . Days later , Olga Guerin was moved from reporting from Israel during Operation Cast Lead which killed over 2,000 in Gaza. Regular assaults on Gaza were called “mowing the lawn”
I stopped paying my licence fee in protest against the Beeb’s coverage of the atrocities in Gaza, and their omissions, and their bias in favour of Israel. Sickening. I now watch Channel 4 news, which is somewhat better.
