More confirmation of BBC bias against Palestinians
JVL Introduction
This latest information from the Freedom of Information request is extremely disappointing but not surprising. We have known that Jewish sensitivities – and not “the wrong sort of Jews” like us – are taken extremely seriously but Palestinians (and indeed Muslim) sensitivities are more or less ignored, if not dismissed as intrinsically antisemitic.
Furthermore, the BBC conflate Jews and Zionism again and again, so that it met with Jewish groups (which were only those solidly behind Zionism and even what this Israeli government is doing) rather than meet with Zionist groups (some of which are not Jewish) and pro Palestinian groups.
As well as not meeting with Jews like those in JVL and other organisations within the Jewish Bloc, they have never invited Israeli experts Avi Shlaim and Ilan Pappe, who live in the UK to comment.
Sadly predictable but very important that we keep reminding ourselves and others of the reality and perniciousness of the bias.

Strong pro-Israel bias among BBC bosses, new data indicates
BBC executives met nine times with pro-Israel Jewish groups and just once with pro-Palestinians in 14 months of genocide, Freedom of Information shows

If you complin directly to the BBC about their bias and lack of coverage – in particular their reluctance to report pro-Palestine demonstrations and the anti-genocide campaigns – all you get is a standard cut and paste response with no attempt to address any issue you might have raised
BBC biased reporting has been a long time feature even before the Gaza genocide. There was the study “Bad News from Israel” by Greg Philo and Mike Berry showed exactly the BBC’s policies, influenced by a strong pro-Israel lobby in censorship by omission that was followed. In fact the BBC was constantly attacked as being biased against Israel by the Jewish community. Synagogues used to hold letter writing sessions to protest at some ofits news reporting just showing how Israel behaved in the OPTs. Nothing has changed. Its presenters, supposed university trained academics, still fall into line, or maybe have been throughly Zionised, and terrified of the barrage of complaints from the chorus of advocates for Israel, or the pro-Israel groups like CAA and UKLFI an of course the Board of Deputies and the Chief Rabbi. Its all reeks of cowardice and subterfuge.
