Hey BBC – it IS genocide!

This article addresses the bias in the BBC’s reporting, focusing especially on how it covered (just about) the Amnesty International Report that what is happening in Gaza is a genocide. Yet the BBC seems to struggle with the G word in relation to what the State of Israel is doing in Gaza. It is not only committed pro Palestine activists and, indeed, the UN Special Rapporteur, who say it is a genocide; as cited in this article, Amos Goldberg, an Israeli Professor of Holocaust Studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem said within a statement:‘For nearly 30 years I have researched and taught the Holocaust, genocide and state violence.,, (a)nd I want to tell whoever is willing to listen that what’s happening now in Gaza is a genocide.’

Surely there is nobody better qualified here than Ilan Pappe, who identified ‘incremental genocide’ long before October 2023.
How many more times must Israel be called out for committing this genocide before the world decides enough is enough? Truly, reality has become a tool of the powerful, truth has become a currency to be debased or squandered according to the whims of the wealthy. We as individuals can cry out for justice to be done in Gaza, but until the rulers we elect take notice, the murders will continue., but never in our names.
Every time the BBC mentions Hamas it always states that the UK government has proscribed it as a terrorist organisation. HTS (Hayat Tahir al-Sham) in Syria is also proscribed by the government as a terrorist organisation. Funny how the BBC never seems to state this when HTS is mentioned by them in relation to the recent events in Syria.
I suggest BBC News and Current Affairs becomes a subscription channel, removed from the TV Licence Fee equation.
In recent years, it has moved further, and further, away from the purpose it was set up to do. To educate, to keep us informed, and – yes – I’m well aware it has always been a propaganda tool of any government, but, in recent years, it has become a propaganda tool of The Establishment.
They lie directly, and they lie by omission. Time they were shown, the MSM is no longer the only news platform in town. I include – all – MSM news platforms in that.
A genocide of the indigenous people is being conducted by Israel. It is a fact. I too have noticed that the ‘impartial’ BBC has a way of presenting anything else as more newsworthy, which is similar to that of the biased and generally right wing British print media. We do not really have democracy.
