The BBC delays showing the story of Gaza’s heroic medics

Medical Aid for Palestinians report that 1,060 health workers have been killed by Israel in Gaza. The BBC commissioned, but has now delayed transmission of, a film, scheduled to be broadcast in February. The reason, the “need” to await the outcome of its investigation into its showing the documentary “How to Survive a Warzone” earlier this year. This makes no sense and we note that the BBC DID go ahead with broadcasting the Louis Theroux documentary on Settlers and it is still available on BBC iPlayer here, despite criticism so is it just Gaza where there is concern about things being “too controversial”?
This documentary Gaza: Medics Under Fire, …” has already passed BBC legal checks” . Film makers said that many of the medics who took part many of whom “had been detained and testified they had been tortured, and we made solemn undertakings that their stories would be told, and done so as soon as possible,”

Gaza: Medics Under Fire documentary postponed by BBC after review
A documentary about the plight of medics in Gaza during Israel’s war on the Palestinian enclave has been delayed by the BBC.

Increasingly so, it seems that there are those in the higher echelons of the BBC who continue to do everything in their power to suppress anything that seeks to show the hell inside Gaza that Israel has created. We should never forget how much the Corporation has done in its attempts to rationale that state’s immense acts of inhumanity and its disregard for the lives of so many nations, including even those of its (Israel’s) own!
