It is blindingly obvious that, if you destroy people’s homes and deprive them of food, water and sanitation, disease will run rampant through the displaced population.
Global health expert Yara Asi talked in mid-November of “a dire human-made humanitarian catastrophe” characterised by mass hunger, thirst, homelessness, and lack of medical services, including, of course, the mass bombings of Gaza’s hospitals.
United Nations Children’s Fund spokesperson James Elder says these conditions have produced “the perfect storm for disease”.
In wars, says public health scholar Barry Levy, indirect health-related deaths can outnumber direct deaths by more than 15 to 1.
Just let no-one say afterwards that they didn’t know.

It is not a “war”. It is ethnic cleansing / genocide and justifiable resistance to it. To ignore this – or describe it otherwise – is to abandon “the Palestinians”.
Backed financially and politically by (mainly US) Christian Zionists, (Biden!) and Evangelicals, these people hope that fulfilling Biblical prophecies such as the re-colonisation of “Zion” by Jews and the re-building of the Third Temple on “Temple Mount” will pave the way for the Second Coming.
