IDF army chiefs know it well, and do nothing as their own members fan the flames lit by settlers on the rampage.
Gideon Levy warns:
“Vengeful soldiers envious of their compatriots in Gaza, are going wild in the occupied territories, with a light and enthusiastic finger on the trigger. Almost 200 Palestinians have been killed there since the war started, and nobody is stopping them.”
A disaster is in the making. Israel has been warned again and again and does nothing to avert it.

Why is the Big Netanyahu Lie still being repeated over and over again, that the IDF and all the security services in the country had been “catastrophically surprised” by the 10/07 Hamas Attack.
A Big Netanyahu Lie, because – as I thought we had agreed conclusively on that subject already by now – the Gaza Ghetto at the time had been 24/7 intensively monitored by state of the art electronic equipment of all sorts and quantities in combination (interconnected) with a highly sophisticated network of spy satellites. So nobody in the spheres of the Netanyahu government can hide behind the myth of a 10/7 surprise attack.
So the only conclusion possible has to be, that Netanyahu et al. purposely allowed the attack to happen with the objective, to invoke the very scenario that has been enfolding ever since : intensifying the ethnic cleansing of the native Palestinians conform by the well-rehearsed (during the 1948 Nakba and other instances) supremacist blueprint of the great replacement.
JVL itself the other day had the courage to publicize the Ilan Pappe comments, that he had written down on Al Jazeera on “the context question”. In his comment – as most of the JVL readers will now be aware of – he did refer to the fact, that the Nakba (plan Dalet) had been designed and planned in great detail from the 1920 onwards (!). So that murderous ethnic cleansing / great replacement operation of the Jewish Zionists involved, never ever had been the result of “Giant Arab Armies marching on to Jerusalem” in the first place (as of course had already been conclusively established since the eighties by Pappe and his colleague New Historians).
P.S. Speaking about the right context : Why has been so (relatively) little protested lately against the ultimate omni-enablers of the settler colonial project,..

Anyone who reads the history of 1948 from historians like Professor Ilan Pappe shouldn’t be surprised at all. The surprising thing is that anyone ever believed that Israel was a liberal democracy. Our British rulers have known the truth for 75 years but have done nothing at all. From Covid to the inevitable catastrophe in Palestine our rulers seem completely unprepared.
I too believe ‘The Big Netanyahu Lie’….it was I believe all orchestrated as what is happening in the Ocuppied West Bank. Too many people around the world were realising what was happening in Palestine and Israel couldn’t allow that.
