For many years direct action activists have been striving to close down Israeli arms production in Britain.
The chose this path after concluding, as Huda Ammori puts it, that “there wasn’t a democratic process in this country when it came to Palestine… direct action was the only route left”.
Anita Mureithi writing in openDemocracy provides an update on their struggles targeting Elbit Systems in particular, the growth of popular support for their actions, and the repression with which they are being met.
