Fake stories help Netanyahu keep Gaza war raging

According to this investigation by senior +972 Magazine editor Ben Reiff, the Israeli army is trying to locate the source of fake stories that appeared in the UK Jewish Chronicle and German Bild, seeking to influence Israeli public opinion in favour of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to keep the Gaza war raging.
A veteran Israeli journalist tweeted, “It was clear to me that this was a leak from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, which is manipulating the foreign press … to further tear apart Israel’s divided society and save Netanyahu from the intensifying protests.”
The Jewish Chronicle’s involvement will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with its political bias, cavalier attitude to facts and murky ownership structure. On this occasion it appears to have gifted Netanyahu “the perfect silver bullet to continue staving off public and international pressure for a hostage deal that would end the war.”

Why did a British Jewish newspaper publish fake Israeli intelligence?
Israel’s army suspects fabrications published in the Jewish Chronicle were part of a pro-Bibi influence campaign, while the article’s author is not as he claims.

So the JC which is now supposed to have charitable status is propagating fake documents?
Really. The very idea of the Jewish Chronicle making up stories by a reporter whose credentials aren’t thoroughly kosher is preposterous.
The JC is the oldest Jewish paper in the world, a paper of record and that means it is the most trusted too.
We all know that the JC can be trusted to tell the truth as those of us who have had first hand experience of the paper can testify.
I imagine that even as I write that Jake Wallis-Simons and Elon Perry are instructing solicitors with a view to bringing claims of defamation against those who spread these malicious rumours.
I am sure that Wallis-Simons, when he is next due to appear on Sky’s News Review will put paid to these anti-Semitic allegations.

Who would have believed it? The Jewish Chronicle and Elon Perry telling fibs?! The organ appears to have broken even its own record on this occasion. Always quick to invent stories about anti-Zionists, about serious campaigners and supporters for a free Palestine, against democratically elected MP’s and even Party leaders. It will be interesting to see whether Mr Perry is rehabilitated, and just how the Jewish Chronicle wriggles out of this public humiliation?
1) The Jewish Chronicle is infamous as a Zionist publication not a Jewish one.. and nothing surprises me about them..
2) as Hamas had offered to release ALL the Hostages on Oct9th ( as reported in The Times of Israel) But Netanyahu said NO.. for obvious reasons as he needs the excuse of Hostages to whitewash Israel’s Genocidal intentions in occupied Palestine, the question being asked by MANY is who benefitted from those 6 killed Israeli Hostages? We already know Netanyahu will use Hostages in any way to keep on killing Palestinians.. we also know Israel signed contracts with BP for the GAZA Gas field nearly 3 years ago and NEEDS to annihilate Gaza to take possession of this Gas field..
This article should be published in The Guardian and other mainstream newspapers. It takes the lid off the lies and manipulations of the truth that Netanyahu is constantly using to delay a ceasefire and prolong the genocide in Gaza. The BBC should also report this. Will it, though?

I particularly liked this claim

Compared to which the latest made up story is a paragon of truth.
If I understand this correctly, Bild and the JC were the only newspaper outlets (or news organisations) that published this story, and if that’s the case, then surely it strongly suggests that other media outlets either concluded the document was fake or suspected it was fake. But Bild and the ohso trustworthy Jewish Chronicle DIDN’T supposedly.
It’s quite astonishing that anyone still reads the JC given its record of deceit and deception and smearing and demonising, but then perhaps people read it for a good larf!
It seems like the rats are deserting a sinking ship. The BBC has previously parroted the anti-Palestinian, “antisemitic” smears and fabrications like it reports the official Israeli IOF narrative as “truth”. I wonder if Jeremy Corbyn, and all those “wrong type of Jews”, all those expelled from the Labour Party, fuelled by malicious smears and made up lies, supported by the JewChr and BBC, will receive an “apology”. We still don’t know officially who owns this gutter rag, but it appears the answer is not far short of what we all suspected a long time ago.
