Blinken tries to convince the world Netanyahu wants a ceasefire

Mitchell Plitnick. writing in Mondoweiss, is rightly angered by the doublespeak coming from the White House.
He is clear that:
“Biden has shifted his public image, going from unbridled support for every Israeli atrocity to a transparently phony appearance of trying to “restrain” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In fact, Biden has not let up one iota in his absolute support for everything Israel has done up to this point.”
Plitnik is clear that Netanyahu is determined to undermine any agreement with Hamas, an invasion of Rafah being something he believes his continued hold of power is dependent on.
He finds Blinken’s “shameful role” in this “revolting masquerade” yet another failure in this “loathsome and bloody affair”.

Antony Blinken claims that Hamas is blocking a ceasefire in Gaza, but it is Israel which has vowed to invade Rafah regardless of an agreement and is absolutely unwilling to declare an end to its genocidal operation.

Netanyahu has said nothing will stop them attacking Rafah,not Biden or anyone else. Biden not only knows this but is happy for it to happen, he’s play acting when he says he’s told Netanyahu, he’ll be crossing his Red line if he attacks Rafah. This is for the US voters, its election year and he’s trying to act as if he wants the Genocide to stop. It’s all to do with the U.S. Oil Companies getting started on extracting the Gas that’s under Gaza. They, both of them are playing with Palestinian lives, thousands of them. Netanyahu gets Gaza Ethnically Cleansed and the US makes fortunes out of the Gas.
