To Zionists’ chagrin, a long-suppressed report showed the BBC is not anti-Israel

Attempts by right-wingers and pro-Israel lobbyists to brand the BBC as anti-Israel have reached hysterical proportions since October 2023, even as evidence mounts that it is supporters of justice for Palestine who struggle to get a hearing from the UK’s premier public service broadcaster.  It is by and large Israel’s propaganda machine that sets the agenda.

This detailed piece by Tim Llewellyn, a former BBC Middle East Correspondent, reveals for the first time the outcome of a report commissioned back in 2003 which concluded that there was no deliberate or systematic bias. It has remained under wraps for all this time.

Llewellyn explores its implications and provides a thoughtful review of how well, or otherwise, the public is served by media coverage of Israel/Palestine. It is a long but worthwhile read.
