This article outlines some of the many dangers facing the region and tries to unravel Trump’s reasons for unleashing war on Iran – again! Mark Rubio is not the only one who suggests US strikes on Iran were influenced by Israeli plans. (He said that Washington was aware Israel was going to attack Iran, and that Tehran would retaliate against US interests in the region, so US forces struck pre-emptively.)
The consequences are potentially disastrous and with no clear objectives. Already hundreds of Iranians havce been killed, including 153 schoolgirls.
Karon notes that: Trump “has been persuaded – presumably principally by the Israelis and their champions in Washington – that the risks of his Iran aggression are minimal and manageable, while the reward would be an epic win which would leave all U.S. rivals and challengers cowering. Trump has been sold on a vision of Iran being Venezuela on steroids – a dangerous delusion.”

This is a fight against US Imperialism and against Netanyahu’s plan for a ‘Greater Israel’. It HAS to be defeated. We must support Iran. The so-called ‘popular forces’ are those cultivated by the CIA and the US ‘National Endowment for Democracy’ that seeks to undermine countries around the world – see Hong Kong, Ukraine, Georgia etc. It is backed up by CIA trained terrorists in a major base for 3/4000 MEK in Albania. I hope those of us who have watched the way that the USA and UK (and Europe) support Israel see through the blatant propaganda here. Israel and the USA attack Iran without any provocation at all and what does Starmer (and other 5 eyes countries do)? Criticise Iran for defending itself. Millions, literally, turned out to mourn the death of Khamenei who the media is currently demonising as ‘another Hitler who deserved to die’. I hope people see what all this is about.
