Israel’s “Gazafication” of Lebanon – sanctions now
JVL Introduction
Eyes have already left Gaza and are focused on Iran but Israel has taken its own lessons from the past two and a half years in Gaza and are applying those lessons and is now pulverising Lebanon. Of course there are differences and the people in Lebanon, unlike those in Gaza cannot be caged in and have access to food and water restricted by Israel but the impunity – and even support – with which it has been able to act in Gaza has been interpreted as having free rein against anyone they deem “terrorists”. There is no need for any reflection, any consideration as to why there is such opposition to the State of Israel, no need to really consider that they are committing war crimes in attacking civilians.
Israel acts as though it has the right to recreate “the “security zone” (that it) occupied between 1982 and 2000, after invading during the Lebanese civil war.” And what next, this guest writer from +972 magazine asserts that “(w)hile the air force decimates Beirut from above, proceeding through an AI generated list of targets, troops on the ground will move from village to village in the south, destroying everything in their path as warplanes shower residential areas with white phosphorus.”
“The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security has issued a “red flag alert” for Israel in Lebanon. Sanctions are essential – now!

As Israel prepares to implement the ‘Gaza model’ in Lebanon, where is the international reaction?
A red-flag alert has been issued by one genocide-prevention organisation. This is not the time for empty condemnations but sanctions and arms embargos

Although the presenter of R4’s “World At One” programme today (19.3.26) made some attempts to redirect her interviewees into criticising Iran, they were for once able to say what they thought about Israel’s malign role in the Middle East and in starting the war with Iran. What a change from normal practice!
DIFFERENT speakers (an expert on oil matters, a representative from the ME “oil” states and a former US government advisor) ALL blamed the Israeli government for the war and for the global mayhem ensuing. Israel’s fast-increasing isolation on the world stage must worry its government.
They agreed Iran was in this case the innocent victim of Netanyahu’s long held determination to take the USA and Israel to war against Iran. The ME “oil states” representative was firm on this point, adamant that Iran’s retaliations were proportionate to the prior attacks launched by Israel and the USA and coldly unconvinced by the presenter’s suggestion that the Gulf states might speed up the end of the war by joining forces with the aggressors.
They also agreed America had been duped into the war by Israel and it was in the USA’s interests to exit ASAP (if it could). The US speaker said Trump was already looking for a way out but as yet the economic pressures inside America hadn’t built up sufficiently to make that happen.
They even almost killed British journalist Steve Sweeney.
Agree totally.i knew the moment Israel and USA started, this would be the goal.devastation.,murder,death.with Trump already rubbing his hands with glee as yet more of our planet crumbles away and genocide rules.
