Judaising the (southern) West Bank

Accelerating annexation aided by settler violence is pushing more and more Palestinians out of their homes and off their land. This report focuses on Masafer Yatta in the southern West Bank, which is one of the worst hit areas. Other parts of the West Bank are in a similar position, eg many communities have fled the violence in the Jordan Valley and villages near to Nablus such as Yanoun after many years of determined resistance through existence.  Since the Iran war began, Settler Harassment  has meant that it is becoming impossible to stay in the northern West Bank village of Duma. The picture above is of Susiya (southern West Bank) that was viciously attacked on 18th February 2026.

Israeli forces are backing the aggression of the settlers even more blatantly than before.  This is ethnic cleansing happening before our eyes; a clear illustration of the belief in Jewish supremacy and showing that Israel aims to complete its aim of more land and fewer Palestinians. We see this, of course, in Gaza where Israel ruthlessly controls 58% of the land and controls all supplies that can come into Gaza, which has meant limited food and medicine and a near total lockdown again in both the West Bank and in Gaza since the start of the bombing of Iran.   This report is from the Villages Group, Israeli and Palestinian volunteers trying to help keep Palestinian communities intact have found their work more demanding in every respect since October 7th 2023 and with less success. The report provides a brief overview of some of the tactics employed to make Palestinians’ lives impossible.
