Jewish Terrorism in the West Bank

The use of the words “Jewish terrorism” in this Ha’aretz headline is significant and correct. What word other than terrorism is appropriate for what is being done to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank?  Much of the harassment, pogroms and even murder is carried out by settlers who are so firmly embedded in the government that there are rarely any repercussions for the perpetrators. Meanwhile Palestinians who are deemed to be terrorists – in courts with a 99.7% conviction rate – are likely to be hanged with no appeal if the proposals continue to work their way through the Knesset. These are the plans of the likes of Itamar Ben Gvir ad Bezalel Smotrich.

As this article shows, the terrorism is increasingly murderous.  Palestinians are slaughtered by Jewish Israeli settlers while Israeli soldiers stand around and watch, then all too often arrest the Palestinians under attack rather than the perpetrators.

These are war crimes, totally against international law and we must hold them accountable for these atrocities as well as those carried out in Gaza, Lebanon and, of course, Iran.
