Is AIPAC support becoming toxic?

JVL Introduction

It is definitely too early to suggest that AIPAC influence is no more or even seriously on the wane but it is worth  noting that some Democrats who are staunchly pro Israel are now publicly rejecting AIPAC support and even returning funds.  The reason, certainly how extremist the Israeli government is and the fact that AIPAC have not uttered any criticism but also that more and more US citizens are questioning AIPAC’s role and the USA’s constant backing of Israel and the funds – and armaments that are being sent by US governments, as we all saw under Biden and now under Trump. despite his “America First” pronouncements.

This is an interesting assessment and, perhaps a place marker: we shall certainly be “watching this space”

As support for Israel plummets among U.S. voters, Democrats are distancing themselves from AIPAC, and the Israel lobby group is on the defensive.

  • I don’t know how long ago – centuries – this Septic Isle stopped ‘interest groups from [overtly at least’ buying power with money. AIPAC is second only to the Vets PAC in fund raising in the US. And they make no decret of what their objectives are. This should be un-Constitutional. But it isn’t. Surely there must be some statute gathering dust in DC’s archives that expressly outlaws raising money to buy politician both Dems and Reps who will support AIPAC-friendly policy… with the goal of primary goal of supporting come hell or high water a FOREIGN country. Netanyahu made a big show of telling Vance last week that Israel is NOT a client state of the US of A. Sure looks like it is where I’m sitting!
