The “We Stand With Israel” Jews endanger all Jews

Hasan Piker has brought down the wrath of the Israel lobby by saying:

“If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone’s going to come around and take action, not against the State of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews.”

But as MJ Rosenberg argues in this obituary for Aipac, it’s true.

If you say non-stop that “Israel is us. We are Israel. Attack Israel politically and you are attacking the Jews” what right do you have to “then express shock when some people — including dangerous people — believe you”?

Nothing new here – Rosenberg and others have been saying just this for quite a while now – but it worth stressing how the actions of mainstream pro-Israel Jewish communal bodies, in the States and elsewhere,  are making all Jews targets.
