The war is not over in Gaza – now there must be justice

JVL Introduction

A cry for justice in pursuit of peace.  Accountability is essential and not only for the main perpetrators of the multitude of war crimes that have been committed but also those in governments around the world – and key lobbyists and the Jewish Establishment which has been virtually uncritical of Israel.

An old slogan that is still highly relevant was “No Justice, No Peace”; without justice for the Palestinians and accountability for the suffering of individuals and their families “peace” is an illusion.  While Israel is allowed the continue its occupation of the West Bank to still be in control of Gaza’s borders and 58% of its land, while the western states that have belatedly recognised the State of Palestine insist that it is demilitarised without calling for the same condition for Israel, peace looks a lot like subjugation.
