Which is it Israel, targeted military aims or a targeted Nakba?

In this chilling and important article, Yuval Abraham outlines the argument used inside Israel to counter allegations of genocide. The aim, they claim is a military one, to deal with Hamas (operatives), not to kill civilians. However, there are many examples of senior people (not only in government) making their genocidal intent crystal clear. One cited below is Ex-military intelligence chief Aharon Haliva who said: “For everything that happened on October 7, for every one of us who died on October 7, 50 Palestinians must die. It doesn’t matter now — children or not. I’m not speaking out of revenge but as a message for future generations. They need a Nakba now and then to feel the price.”
Israel is using AI to track everyone in Gaza (and the West Bank) and using the intelligence it gathers to justify killing rather than to target more carefully. Abraham argues that soldiers who were comfortable with genocide were fine as, in practice, were those worried about that since they could justify their actions as being for necessary military objectives.
All of this should be shocking but it is not; what is shocking is that it is what we expect, that it has become (almost) normal and Israel is not yet subject to sanctions.

One target at a time: The logic that helped Israeli liberals commit genocide
By attaching a military goal to each act of killing, Israelis of all stripes could partake in the slaughter without questioning the morality of their actions.

Anyone still doubting this is genocide doesn’t deserve our attention.
The article points out the reversal of the old adage confuse the enemy, in which it becomes, allow a confusion to enable the individual license to kill on their own terms. This approach to the mental avoidance of recognising genocide by legitimising individual feelings in an armed military force. Would also allow the leakage into civilians of a violent murderous mindset, such as is being reported in the West Bank Terrorist Settler attacks, on Palestinian Farmers and landowners, as a legitimate action as is claimed by Daniella Weiss. After years of denial of government responsibility for the activities of these West Bank Terrorists the dust sheets are finally ripped off in the legitimising of So called settlements and annexation.
