Microsoft aids and abets Israel’s crimes

The role of surveillance technology in the armoury of repressive regimes is spiralling upwards.
Israel is one of the great pioneers, but it wouldn’t be possible without the backup provided by the world’s largest tech companies.
Microsoft has been at the forefront, its servers revealed last year as storing the vast amounts of data gathered by Israeli intelligence on Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and Gaza as prelude to using it to attack them.
Under pressure, Microsoft backed off but not for long.
It’s servers now provide ICE, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement with the essential backup it needs for its operations.
It’s not just the Israeli state that is rogue, but the whole rotten system…
