A game changer as former Zionists platform apartheid charge against Israel?

JVL Introduction

Two leading Jewish former Zionists have just lent credibility to the apartheid charges against Israel.

They are Peter Beinart writing in the New York Times and the former Israeli negotiator Daniel Levy in a speech to the United Nations Security Council.

To many of our readers there is nothing particularly surprising in the content of Beinart and Levy’s interventions.

To New York Times readers Beinart’s analysis will be devastating; as will Daniel Levy’s “wake-up call” speech to the Security Council which can be summed up as saying simply: “There’s just one state, and it’s apartheid. Israel’s future is at jeopardy.”

When Palestinian solidarity activists write anything like this, we are accused of antisemitism, of delegitimising Israel.

It’s clear from Beinart and Levy that Israel has delegitimated itself.

‘NYT’ and UN Security Council platform apartheid charge against Israel

Influential Jewish organizations who denounce as antisemitic the reports accusing Israel of apartheid are a “threat to freedom,” Peter Beinart writes in the New York Times.

  • During the South African apartheid ears, I refrained from buying anything from there, particularly their grapes. When i was a child in the 50s, my mum would often buy Jaffa Oranges when they were in season. I look forward to when I can buy them again.

  • I don’t suppose the speech to the UN Security Council or the NYT article received much coverage in the British MSM. If at all! Anything that contradicts the ‘consensus’ is blanked completely usually. In the process of doing a bit of research about Michael Mansfield earlier (he was in an excellent documentary on Channel 5 last night about a bunch of guys who got framed for murder), I was reminded that he was one of the good, decent people who wrote/signed a letter in defence of JC in response to Lumley and Co’s odious letter, and whereas the Lumley letter received coverage right across the MSM, the only publication that would publish the ‘Roger Waters’ letter was the NME (New Musical Express). And needless to say – and THAT in itself says it ALL – the MSM completely blanked what John Bercow had to say about Jeremy as well.

Such control of information by the MSM is – in my book – tantamount to fascism! And demonising and smearing people like Jeremy – and causing concern and consternation amongst the Jewish population in the process – is just pure, unadulterated evil.
