Palestine Action trying to stop terror are the real terrorists(?)

The world continues to be turned upside down. Palestine Action, a group that has given many people in Palestine hope are to be banned after  breaking into an RAF base.  Meanwhile the UK continues to supply Israel with weapons, with intelligence gained from surveillance flights and a promise to support Israel in the war it started against Iran.

I do not agree with the assertion that the British Home Secretary gets orders from Netanyahu but I understand the fury at the double standards yet again on display.  We may also wonder at the need to take such direct action given the huge marches in London, across the country and, indeed, throughout the world, get no publicity unless there are arrests. (See, eg the headline in the Evening Standard about today’s enormous march:  “Thousands march in pro-Palestine rally through London as arrest made after bottle thrown.”)  That is one arrest made after one bottle was thrown that did not reach its target but this is the headline!

We agree with the UK Palestine Solidarity Campaign which stated unequivocally that it is: “Outrageous that the British gov is moving to ban non violent direct action group Palestine Action whilst it still sells weapons to the state that is carrying out a genocide”

Palestine Action are not terrorists as clearly shown in this article.  They have neither harmed nor terrorised people and even property is mostly spray painted rather than permanently damaged. It is worth remembering that when Four women hammered a  jet to bits that was headed for the Indonesian military to use against the people of East Timor, they were acquitted of the charge of criminal damage as the defence case that they were preventing a greater crime was upheld.
