Harvard Law School says it is apartheid
JVL Introduction
Harvard Law School’s International Human Rights Clinic (IHRC) has added its voice to those who have recently declared Israel to be committing the crime of apartheid.
It was prepared in partnership with Ramallah-based Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association
It joins Yesh Din, B’Tselem, Human Right Watch, Amnesty International and the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, among others, in coming to this conclusion.
Short and to the point, it backs up its conclusions with a multitude of references and further reading.
In the account below Steve France guides readers through the report and its reception to date.

Leaders of our communities running governments seem to me, as a very old individual, to have on balance, become more corrupt even taking into account the whole of the twentieth century, by this I mean there is less good to oppose the pressure of the bad. The glint of light coming from the other direction echoed in of all places the top legal circles of the US is stunning, brave and supportive. I thank Harvard.
Another encouraging step towards the march for justice. Without meaning to belittle the importance of this report coming from “the sanctum sanctorum of American academia” as described in the article, I must say it gives me great added pleasure to think of Professor Alan Dershowitz of HLS spitting blood at what he would see as a traitorous statement by his alma mater. Dershowitz is usually spitting venom at anyone daring to criticize Israel or defend the Palestinians. His most recent pronouncement was to call Archbishop Tutu an “anti-Semite and a bigot”.
And Keir Starmer says it’s not, so that’s resolved that issue!
