A short hard-hitting lament by former artillery officer in the IDF, Uri Misgav, about how a death cult has come to prevail in the current war on Gaza: “dead soldiers and hostages are a worthy, noble sacrifice on the way to redemption”.
Misgav says, simply, that a “society that sanctifies indiscriminate death and killing loses its moral superiority and the justification for its existence”.
He argues this is the second blow Hamas has inflicted on Israel in recent months, far more deadly than the first…
