This is a brief portrayal of everyday life for Palestinians in the West Bank, this time an eye witness account from the Jordan Valley. We have posted about the destruction of three refugee camps in the north of the West Bank and about the South Hebron Hills, especially Massafer Yatta and especially Um Al Khair. This is another West Bank story of Umm Al Khair in the South Hebron Hills and the experience of an artist, Eid Hathaleen whose own home was demolished in 2024. There is no let up on the hardships and the plethora of demolition orders issued recently on top of the murder of Eid’s cousin, Awdah as well as the increasing encroachment of Carmel Settlement and its outpost, largely the work of the man who killed Awdah.
