What on earth are “Alternative safe communities”? (aka “zones of managed dispossession) This is Orwellian double speak for the future only of the possible future of the 58% of the Gaza Strip that remains in Israeli control. This is where rebuilding will (or could) take place with only those who Israeli agrees to let in being able to start to create new lives there. At the moment it seems only those who were in the anti Hamas gangs, creating terror, looting aid and backed by Israel have been allowed inside “the yellow line”.

This is a beautifully written lament for the lost illusions of an American Jew born in the mid-‘70s, and a searing indictment of the American Jewish establishment. Moser speaks more eloquently than any reviewer, so this introduction can do little more than highlight his own words.
