We’re Still Breathing and We Don’t Want To Die

JVL Introduction

Testimony after Testimony….these words from those being forced to flee northern Gaza to go south to ongoing privation and ongoing air strikes and more. Here is what one woman said: “The army forced us to march between dozens of tanks along a narrow route full of dead bodies and body parts. There were hundreds of children with us. They walked next to us and saw everything.”

There are no adequate words to express our empathy with the people of Gaza or our anger at what Israel is doing – and being allowed to do by powerful governments. We publish as a reminder of the human cost of 15 months of pulverisation and also to remind ourselves that Israelis have this information. This was published in Ha’aretz, easily available (for now at least) anywhere in Israel.

  • A Nightmare of epic proportions. I couldn’t read it in one go, the vivid descriptions left you feeling desperate, knowing thousands of innocent Palestinians have been experiencing these daily nightmares for over a year.
Your mind turns to Starmer, Lammy and others that are actively supporting this Genocide and you want to scream. I hope they pay for their callousness!!

  • I’m writing a comment only so you know I’ve read it. I have no more words to express the grief I feel every day, morning till night, despite protests, vigils, writing to my MP, multi faith group events, speeches, sharing documentaries. No response comes. We have no right to despair, but I’m close.
