No charity privileges for funding settlement activities

In June 2026 a synagogue hosted an Israeli real estate event that included properties in the illegal settlements in the West Bank, despite a commitment that this would not be the case. This has prompted the UK’s Charity Commission into action and it is now investigating further having already criticised the Trustees of Edgware United Synagogue in London for hosting the event.
This goes all the way to the Board of Deputies of British Jews; what is needed is serious action and the removal of charitable status, as is required, from, all charities that are funding activities in settlements and in their expansion.
Here you can see that Declassified has also been investigating and identified 6 charities that are sending money to settlements almost all of which were difficult or even impossible to contact. The complaint was made, however, by International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) which has identified 32 charities that they believe warrant investigation.
After many years of campaigning, the Federal Court confirms end of JNF Canada’s charitable status. Removal of charitable status would have a significant financial impact and would chime well and, indeed, be a necessary aspect of the sanctions announced by the UK government on September 8th.

This tale reads like some parody of perceived ‘antisemitism’ from an as if popular viewpoint, here provided by the British pro-Israel establishment.
Fictional character Fagin ran a charitible establishment for destitute children and combined this with dealing in stolen property.
Many have wondered as to what the British Zionist pro-Israel establishment is really about. Here we have apparent complicity in selling stolen property, excuses about it and then the usual outrage about perceived ‘antisemitism’ which appears to have originated within the pro-Israel establishment itself.
It is altogether confusing.
