Ministers’ Families in the IDF: is that why no prosecutions?
JVL Introduction
It has long been a scandal that British citizens could fight in a genocidal war machine and face no penalty. No Briton fighting in the IDF has ever been questioned about, let alone prosecuted for, their possible involvement in war crimes. British soldiers have faced prosecution for crimes they may have committed in our own army.
The legality of fighting for Israel has always ben doubtful, it has become clearly illegal since Britain recognised the Palestinian state.
Authorising prosecutions is the responsibility of the Attorney General. The current AG is Richard Hermer who has said: “I have dear family members currently serving in the IDF.” And Hermer is not alone, his predecessor Suella Braveman also reported: having: “close family members who serve in the IDF.
Harmer reluctance to prosecute IDF soldiers is matched only by his enthusiasm to sign off terrorism charges against people peacefully holding placards saying “I oppose Genocide, I support Palestine Action”. It may be optimistic to expect Labour ministers to support Palestine Action, but it is not unreasonable to expect them to oppose genocide.

Do senior Labour politicians have relatives fighting in the Israeli military?

The quality of this article compares to that of the almost incomparable Israeli publication, Haaretz. And it is another very good reason why all those who wish to understand the Zionist barbarity in Palestine and seek justice for the Palestinians should subscribe.
I doubt someone with dual Israeli-British nationality could face consequences for merely joining the IDF or other Israeli entities. I think most do have dual nationality. If they committed war crimes then that’s different but that would apply to anyone.
I couldn’t resist a sardonic chuckle on seeing today’s main headline on the BBC website:
“PM says ‘nobody is above the law’ over Andrew allegations.”
Zionism is the cancer of the world. It has rooted everywhere. Would anyone be interested how Israel forms politics in the Netherlands watch this documentary by The Rights Forum. YT can provide English subs.

In 1967 many Jewish idiots like me volunteered for the Israeli army. I was a student at Manchester University and so made my way to the Jewish chaplaincy at Hillel House and “signed up”. Within days the war was over but we volunteers were nevertheless flown out to Israel. I think my story was typical: volunteers were deployed in various kibbutzim to provide a labour force to make up for their members called up to the army. Did some volunteers serve in the army? One of those in my group (allotted to kibbutz Gevim near Sderot) left, we were told, to drive trucks for the IDF (presumably only temporarily). Was this “recruitment” contrary to the Foreign Enlistment Act of 1870? Certainly the whole operation was conducted completely openly.
Depressing because Hermer was, actually quite brave about calling out Israeli war crimes and saying genocide charges were credible. What needs to change is the bizarre group think at the tope of governing parties, apparently thinking that IDF membership, Maccabi fandom and Eurovision are all somehow human and likeable. Sickening.
