It’s All Right so long as you support Israel

JVL Introduction

Jewish communal organisations openly support Stop The Hate that claims to be committed to opposing antisemitism.  However, “Stop the Hate” also works with Britain’s far right, not least Tommy (many names) Robinson.  They also organise the counter protests at the pro justice for Palestinians marches.  Furthermore, the (so named) Chief Rabbi has spoken on their platform and the Board of Deputies has co sponsored rallies.  Here Vashti Media have delved into the nature of the relationship.

We noted that yesterday Central London Synagogue was happy to host a meeting of Farage’s Reform Party to launch a Jewish Alliance and Israeli Flags were seen at the Far Right march in September 2025. Is the common thread support for Israel whatever it does and/or shared Islamophobia. Supporting Israel is not enough – even if you are a Rabbi bit dare to say that Palestinians as well as Israelis have rights. (Two Rabbis were removed from the stage last August for saying that!). As in Germany we also have the spectre of non Jews telling antizionist Jews they are not really Jews.

We are grateful to Vashti for undertaking this unpleasant task and for their ongoing generosity in allowing us to share.

Inside Stop the Hate: the pro-Israel street movement’s convergence with the far-right

Mapping the mainstream British Jewish community’s close ties to Tommy Robinson and his circles.

  • Excellent article. Just a few comments.

The Gaza Genocide has acted as a catalyst for the growing realignment of the Zionist movement with the British far-right. This is the logic of Zionism. Just as in Israel there is no longer any pretence that ‘Arabs’ have equal rights or that Zionism is not racist.

What began over 15 years ago, which I documented extensively with the links of Jonathan Hoffman to the far-right, have grown exponentially, as evidenced in the article above with Stop the Hate and its assorted groups such as Our Fight, SILO etc.

What is also interesting is the closeness between these overtly fascist, pro-Tommy Robinson Zionists and the so-called Campaign Against Antisemitism.

All of this poses dangers but also opportunities. Whereas the so-called leadership of British Jews (the Board, JLC etc.) are now prepared to support groups with open links to Tommy Robinson’s supporters that is not true of Jews on average. The fact that these groups have so few Jewish adherents points to a problem that they have.

All previous opinion polls of Jews have shown them far more liberal than the Board in terms of e.g. sanctions against settlements even if they allowed themselves to be coralled into the ‘antisemitism’ campaign against Corbyn.

It is also clear that there is a need for Jewish Anti-Fascist Defence against these thugs.

  • An extremely disturbing, excellently researched, but absolutely necessary piece of journalism by Vashti Media. What is extremely disturbing is the vile racial-supremacist ideology, which underpins the whole “Christian Zionist” project, pro-Zionist Israeli colonialism, and Neo-Fascists movement in Britain. That ideology unites them, maybe not always consciously, but subconsciously. StH, is nothing more than a front for vile racism, neo-fascists, and crypto — “Christian” individuals, with the flag of Israel and all its murderous voices uniting them, providing essential fuel to the fire.

Violence is their flame and is becoming more virulent, not just on demonstrations, but mirrored across entire communities on a daily basis. The effects include deliberate attacks on people of colour, anti-Zionists, targeted religious groups and gender-based violence.

It’s a festering cesspit, but it’s dangerous, and we have to use our strengths, organisations and experiences to fight it. You can’t educate fascists and their lumpen foot-fodder. The flames of hate are organised. So must we be.

    `Ellos no pasarán` !

  • Thanks for this article

The demonstrations outside the Israeli Ambassador’s residence were targeted almost immediately by a very aggressive counter-demonstrators and the police who banned the demonstrations using public order legislation. The demonstrators moved to Swiss Cottage, where once again they were targeted by by counter demonstrators who were extremely aggressive. The police then banned this demonstration and told the organisers they could relocate near Kings Cross (miles Away) effectively ending the protests. The counter-demonstrators and the police finding common cause in blocking peaceful protest …… one aside, I’m really not a fan of using asterisks to hide offensive language – we should know exactly what we are being called

  • A difficult read, due to the many links and, I found odd punctuation, that shows how British society has been divided, and the attempt to manipulate frustration and dissatisfactions to unite it in the name of “regaining” a control the public never had. The article exposes the multilayered, multifaceted mobilization of small organisations into a violent fascist mob, and the apparent failure of police to protect peaceful people.

  • A well researched and evidenced article revealing the extent and diversity – as well as the contradictions – of the Zionist supporting groups. It seems to be only about North London so how wide spread are these groups and how big a threat? The article could do with editing to make it more readable. Take out some of the links and add headings.
