Might is Right – morality does not matter

JVL Introduction

“History proves that, unfortunately and unhappily, Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan,” the prime minister asserted …“(b)ecause if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, powerful enough, evil will overcome good. Aggression will overcome moderation.” This was Netanyahu, making it clear that his model is Genghis Khan who “killed more people in twenty-five years than the Romans managed to do in four hundred years”.

Although he was not denigrating Christ, it is clear that he believes might is right and in saying so has added to the concerns evangelical Christians have about the road Israel has taken.  For all of us his speech only reinforces what we have witnessed with our own eyes.  He has gone beyond demonstrating Israel’s power to violate international law, destabilise the world economy and, in holding so relentlessly to the “strategy” even risks losing the support of allies and more deaths of Israeli citizens.  His arrogance is a danger to us all but most especially to the Palestinians, Lebanese and Iranian people, all the time claiming self-defence.

Less Jesus, more Genghis Khan: How Netanyahu sees Israel’s place in the world

The prime minister’s historical analogies betray an appetite for eternal war and barbaric aggression — a worldview now reflected in Israel’s regional policy.

  • Still Tebas managed to defeat Sparta on 371BC and from there it went downhill.
Sparta lost its slave class and was forced to fully integrate into the Achaean League, as Sparta was not longer the leading power.
Hence, killing Palestinians and Lebanese could result in the destruction of Israel:
1- If Israel wins against Hezbollah and Iran more land to administer without a sufficient work force, since Israel is killing its future work force.
2- If Hezbullah and Iran win, it would leave Israel economically vulnerable. The US would also encounter an economic crisis without much of a return and it could blame Israel for the US economic downfall.
The same applies to the Gulf States. In this scenario I don´t see the US pushing the Gulf States to sign into the Abraham´s Accord.
I wonder if Netanyahu have though about it?
