Your web editor is less convinced by its brief three-para section that “Israel Apparently Allowed October 7th to Happen.” It seems too conspiratorial, more likely that Israel simply could not conceive of Hamas doing what it did rather than wilfully allowing it to happen.
Time, no doubt will bring greater clarity on this question of culpability for the Israeli failures on the day, which is obviously why Netanyahu has resisted all attempts to instigate a proper inquiry.

All these points were known early on within the first week. It’s good to be reminded of it all in its entirety. I still ask Why oh why in despair.
I think it is past due time to stop publishing photos of the grinning Netanyahu as they portray him as an insidious victor. He has lost and he should be portrayed as the one who lost and who deserved to lose as a leader who supported genocide, and who should be in jail.
