Morocco’s occupation of the Western Sahara is the closest parallel with Israel’s occupation of Palestine. Both have been declared illegal by the International Court of Justice; both have expelled the indigenous populations; both are enforced by apartheid walls. Morocco seized the territory, against the wishes of the inhabitants when Spain gave up control of the mineral rich ‘Spanish’ Sahara in 1976
Morocco was the quick to sign up to the Abraham Accords with Israel in 2020, abandoning any residual solidarity with the Palestinian people and embracing a fellow occupier.
Britain had a policy of remaining silent the occupation of the Western Sahara until this year when they abandoned a pathetic neutrality for outright endorsement of illegality. David Lammy signed an agreement with the Moroccan government recognising Moroccan sovereignty in exchange for allowing British firms to bid for lucrative world cup construction contracts.

The Saharawi people of Western Sahara have lived under illegal Moroccan occupation for 50 years – and now the UK is backing Morocco’s plan to cement its control of Western Sahara.

I think you dont know the whole truth about Moroccan Sahara.
First that land was Amazigh berber Morish before Arabs invaded the area.
Second, kingdoms of Morocco was there running alla that area since 8th century…never was a separate country in that territory.
Spain occupied parts of Morocco same as Sahara.
The conflict started as communism and capitalism competition.
Algeria is the main evil behind that problem not Moroccans or Sahara.
Algeria backed by communist countries spend lot money and effort to weaken Morocco.
Algeria support a group of terrorists pretending to be Sahrouis. YES , they live and operate in Algeria.
Algeria want and opening through Morocco to the altlantic.
Its our land as natives to the Sahara as Amazigh .Don’t belive whatever Algeria say…
We are the natives we are Sahrouis we are Moroccans.
Seemingly a Leopard never changes its spots.
