Israel is Burning the Children of Gaza: How Will We Respond?

JVL Introduction

The distressing image of five-year-old Ward Jalal al-Sheikh Khalil, trying to escape a burning classroom at the Fahmi Al-Jargawi School in Gaza City is, alas, one of so many.

Rabbi Brant Rosen makes clear how children have been acceptable collateral damage in this conflict as far back as the massacre at Deir Yassin in 1948.

Marc Ellis, writing in 2014 when phosphorus bombs fell on Gaza, had no doubt: “As the news reports show and Palestinians know by experience, burning children has become a way of life for Israel.”

Rosen cites Rabbi Greenberg’s justification for the unjustifiable: after the Holocaust, the continued survival of the Jewish people is the supreme value – and anything and everything is OK to ensure that end: “If Israel did not fight back in this necessary but troubling way, then the Jewish state and millions of its citizens would be wiped out.”

This “troubling way”…

One has to ask what kind of Jewish people will emerge from this genocidal war.

  • It beggars belief that such satanic, cruel, evil, is propped up by liars with bombs and fire, who feel no shame, calling themselves “Jews”. It brings to mind Revelation [3:8] where Jesus said:

    9. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but do lie — behold, I will make them to come and worship at thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

God is our staff and comfort. For me, he is our strength, and we must carry on the fight. Those who believe might is right, and who burn innocence to save themselves, will ultimately burn in hell. All is not lost. Evil ultimately destroys itself, and thankfully we can see the West’s last supremacist colony imploding. Unfortunately, our witness of the burning of Palestinians won’t suddenly end, today. But what they do to the Palestinians today, will be used against the rest of humanity tomorrow. All of us of faith, no faith, and with a grain of humanity, united, we can undermine and destroy the satanic murderers of innocent children.

  • Hell as a place or concept isn’t something I believe in … but I do think it very important that the perpetrators and abettors of these horrors should be held accountable for them in courts of law throughout the world and punished in accordance with their crimes.

If we don’t ENSURE that happens the world will face more Gazas, perhaps very soon and very close to home.

We only have a few years before climate change makes parts of the world unliveable and mass migrations start. If one nation state escapes the overwhelming punishment it deserves for its genocide, what’s to say other states and other peoples won’t try the same “Final Solution”?
