In this time of carnage act to end complicity
JVL Introduction
In this appeal from Palestine, co-founder of the BDS movement Omar Barghouti calls on us all to end state, corporate and institutional complicity in Israel’s regime of oppression.
In the rush to violence and retribution Barghouti reminds us of the anti-racist, nonviolence at the core of the BDS movement and he quotes the great Brazilian philosopher and educator, Paolo Friere who stressed that the reaction of the oppressed, whether or not one considers it legally or ethically justifiable, is always just that, a reaction to the initial violence of the oppressor.

The power of BDS, is well known, there were plenty of politicians across the World, especially in the US and UK, (Thatcher was just one in the UK) against the Sanctioning of South Africa but the People ignored them and eventually the People won and Sports Organisations joined in and SA was ostracised from all International Sport and some of their top sportsmen were campaigning against their Government, then their Business Corporations were failing and they also put pressure on the Government and as we all know eventually South African White Politicians caved in.
The same would happen to Israel.
