Gaza and the age of total immorality
JVL Introduction
Respect for the sanctity of human life, as Nesrine Malik points out, is what separates us from barbarism.
Desperate attempts are being made to affirm it. The ICJ has ordered Israel to recognise the Palestinian right not to be threatened with genocide, the ICC wishes to arrest Netanyahu, Israel has been found guilty of apartheid.
Millions have now taken to the streets worldwide calling for an immediate ceasefire, campuses have been in turmoil, even some MPs unseated.
Yet it changes not a bit what is happening in Gaza and Israel continues to point two fingers at those striving for humanity.
“The end result,” says Malik,” is all of humanity degraded.”
