Free speech under attack – Labour is a big part of the problem

JVL Introduction

JVL has long raised concerns about the wider risks that Labour Party’s clamp down on free speech for wider society.  We see the cancelling of the film “Oh Jeremy Corbyn – The Big Lie” because of pressure that all venues come under. This editorial from the Morning Star reminds us of Labour’s restrictions on members’ right to even discuss some issues.  This is highly dangerous and worrying for what this means for a future Starmer led government.   Meanwhile this heinous Tory government has already brought in and is planning more and more restrictions on protest, the right to call for Boycott, Divestment and sanctions and more.
