20th May; Julian Assange faces extradition for telling the truth

JVL Introduction

Julian Assange has been imprisoned one way or the other since 2010 for telling the truth about war crimes, especially in Iraq, especially carried out by the United States.  Not one war criminal he has exposed has been prosecuted.  He has said: “If wars can be started by lies, peace can be started by truth” but it seems that the truth is a dangerous thing and the powers that be are doing everything they can to suppress the truth about their crimes and by persecuting Assange, they aim to also silence every journalist for who would risk so much?

What is Assange’s alleged crime?  That he published leaks exposing the systematic war crimes signed off on by the US and British establishments in Iraq and Afghanistan.”  Aren’t journalists supposed to publish information that powerful people would prefer was kept hidden?  Many have recognised that to be the case and he has won a large number of awards including the Amnesty Media Award in 2009 , The Sydney Peace Foundation Gold Medal (2011), Le Monde Person of the Year (2010), The Adams Award for Integrity (2010), Time Magazine’s Person of the Year (People’s Choice) 2010, National Union of Journalists, Journalist of the Year (2011) Martha Gellhorn Prize for Journalism (2011) and at least 11 more.

Iraq was the main issue as far as war crimes went; a war where 3,000,000 Iraqis were killed – 80% (2,400,000) were killed.  Images that were shared on wikileaks look uncannily like Gaza today.  We are publishing this now because on 20th May, there will be a Court Hearing at what may be the last chance to avoid extradition where he faces trial in the USA.  The UK government has sought assurances that the death penalty would not be applied but instead of execution he would face a likely sentence of 175 years (yes 175, there was no typo)

JVL has carried information about Assange before in the context of the attack his arrest incarceration and threatened extradition means for free speech.  (see below).   And you may want to watch these short trailers for the films Ithaca  and Trust Fall  that have been made about him.

People are being encouraged to go to the High Court in London’s Strand from 08.30 am on Monday 20th May.

Assange's 'reprieve' is another lie, hiding the real goal of keeping him endlessly locked up

The US has had years to clarify its intention to give Assange a fair trial but refuses to do so. The UK court’s latest ruling is yet more collusion in his show trial

  • No one can ever truly trust America or the UK , these two countries of crime, collusion & censorship are chained together by deception & lies!
Its idea that only the US & UK can quash any truth by any means is in itself an atrocity & shows such hypocrisy beyond belief!
The UK & US have ignored laws of client& lawyer privilege through invasion of secret filming & microphones!
So far it shows their contempt of any law & have created their own laws!
The military who killed innocent people & a child went back to the States & have walked freely without a care or punishment!!!
ASSANGE didn’t sit in that helicopter laughing & swearing as they pressed the button of death , the military did !!!
Shame on the British law for its collusion with America !
There are others kept in high security prisons because of secrets they know! Silence & gagging is no longer just a Russian or Chinese tactic it’s spread everywhere!
