Former PM Olmert calls out Israel’s “bloody government”

Ehud Olmert, a former Prime Minister of Israel writes about the two wars Israel is fighting at present: one, in the Gaza Strip and on the northern border, the other in Judea and Samaria.
Writing from a liberal Zionist perspective largely in support of the war against Hamas and Hezbollah, it is the second war that Olmert inveighs against here, the war on the West Bank that is “the heart’s desire of Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich and their friends”.
He calls it “a crime being committed under the aegis of the government, which is deliberately turning a blind eye with a self-righteous impudence that cannot cover up its cruelty, vileness and shocking consequences”, for Palestinians but also for Israel.
Olmert calls out Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot, members of the war cabinet and formerly hostile to Netanyahu, saying that “their silence in the face of what is happening in Judea and Samaria is incomprehensible, unjustified and intolerable.”
It’s all good as far as it goes, but Olmert’s unwillingness to see any connection between the vengeful war in Gaza and the rising power of the ethnic cleansers on the West Bank beggars belief.

Olmert is bitter because of his poor military campaign in Lebanon in 2006 and his time in jail. The West Bank was groomed by Hamas operatives to support the October massacre but they failed thanks to Israel’s harsh actions. The hilltop youth are a sorry sideshow, sort of like gangs in UK.
The ‘Hilltop Youth’ are a bunch of degenerates, similar to that Mesopotamian man they claim descent from.
