Dorset Councillors: no more parts for Israeli drones!
JVL Introduction
Councillors in Dorset from several political parties have called for the local Arms company to stop supplying components to drones used by Israel. They have issued an Open letter calling for signatures, which you can access here and at the end of the article.
We know that activists across the country are picketing their local arms factories, researching their contribution to Israel’s capacity to continue to attack Gaza and objecting to the government’s miniscule limitation on arms sales to Israel.
The picture is of a group in Hastings who picketed and staged a mock eviction of General Dynamics whose factory is in council owned premises. The Dorset councillors show that it is possible to stand up and be counted and we call on more councillors and councils across the UK to do this as well.

Labour government stuffed with arselickers from Labour Friends of Israel so do not expect much response.
The priority is to stop the inhumanity, but I trust that thereafter all those complicit in these appalling crimes will be pursued to the grave like the Nazis.
Thank g-d to read about acts of concrete resistance. Are we really able to sign the Open letter from Dorset councillors if we don’t live there? I’m sure we all want to. Given the hopeless failure so far of our efforts to get our local Camden council to divest, how great it would be to be part of something more effective.
Not giving up on Camden just yet, mind you. But of course agree with Alasdair’s comment above about Labour arselickers — even more servile if possible at local government level, if our borough is anything to go by!
