Blinken’s lies on the ceasefire

Antony Blinken’s wants to be able to blame Hamas for rejecting a peace deal it accepts – to appease liberals worried about genocide and pro-Israel donors.
On 6th May Hamas said it would accept a deal put forward by Egypt and Qatar. Israel rejected it.
The deal now on offer and which Hamas is rejecting is, says Blinken, “virtually identical” to that earlier proposal.
Only it isn’t: it would allow Israel, after a ceasefire and prisoner exchange to decide at any point that Hamas wasn’t negotiating in good faith and resume the war – something which Netanyahu has made quite clear he would intend to do.
But by blaming Hamas for the failure to reach any deal, Blinken hopes to appease both the moderate liberals in the party who are uncomfortable with genocide and the Party’s major pro-Israel donors.

The Biden administration is playing a shell game with the Gaza ceasefire that aims to trick the Democratic base into thinking meaningful action is taking place to end fighting while still allowing Israel to continue its genocidal campaign.

It’s difficult to believe, but it will soon be nine months since the start of this catastrophe – this Genocide. Nine months on, it – still – raises more questions than answers.
For me, I, constantly, wonder whose hand has, actually, been pulling the levers, and I find it difficult to believe it is Joe Biden. Is Biden, simply, the figurehead? I can’t believe he has the mental capacity, or the stamina, left.
So, who is it?
Is it Antony Blinken? Is Kamala Harris in the loop? Are there others involved, directing Antony Blinken? If so, who are they and to whom do they owe their allegiance?
The answer to that last question may not be as simple as – the US or Israel. Or, it – may – be that simple.
So many questions.

This is a very good, analytical article.
Western ruling classes have no qualms about genocide, if they did then they would immediately cut off the arms and money supply.
The concerns they do express are purely a political ploy, to defuse domestic opposition to murder and ethnic cleansing.
