The work of justice has never been clearer. two international courts have directed us all to act: stop arming genocide, demand a ceasefire and urgently provide all the essentials of life that have been denied to Gazan Palestinians. Bring Israel’s illegal occupation to an end as rapidly as possible. Break off the economic and diplomatic interactions which normalise apartheid, resource theft, starvation and genocide. Arrest the war criminals.

Matthew Hoh resigned from the State Department in 2009 over their escalation of the war in Afghanistan. He had been a soldier and so he is not a stranger to or a, opponent of war per se.
