Zionism’s opponents want equality not expulsion of Jews
JVL Introduction
Anti-Zionists are still being accused of wanting to drive Jewish Israelis into the sea. This is far from the reality. Here Ofer Neiman, an Israeli activist for Palestinian rights, counters such allegations and argues that the Anti-Zionists are not opposing Jewish presence opposing the reality of having a State based on Jewish supremacy. What they (we) are arguing for is a State based on equality for all.
He says, for example: The “assertion that “there is no turning back the clock” is an attempt to dismiss the demand for full constitutional equality… The statement “we have nowhere else to go” is merely a convenient excuse because the groups leading the struggle for Palestinian rights are not calling for the expulsion of Jews from the country. (If anything, this statement raises the question of whether the author believes that Jews cannot exist without constitutional supremacy over others.)”
