IN April, climate activist Andreas Malm wrote an essay The Destruction of Palestine Is the Destruction of the Earth on the Verso blog in which he called for support for “the armed resistance, the only force opposing the genocide on the ground”.
Matan Kaminer’s response, posted below, was introduced by Verso in these terms:
As Andreas Malm has forcefully demonstrated, the forces responsible for the destruction of Gaza are the same as those responsible for the climate catastrophe. But it does not follow that the forces currently leading the armed Palestinian resistance are also committed to the struggle for a shared and liveable Earth.

The Christian-Zionist-sponsored way forward for “Palestine” is for it to be colonised by Zionists. They will be the only ones allowed to build in areas ethnically-cleansed of Palestinians. “Arabs” will not be able to clear unexploded ordnance nor have access to building materials and will want to go anywhere rather than survive in unsanitary rubble for years or even decades
