In a deeply disturbing account, Saree Makdisi, an academic at UCLA, writes on the student protests against Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the demonisation they have been subjected to.

In it he argues that the extent to which the “antisemitism” narrative is used to stifle dissent on US campuses and delegitimize protest against Israeli racism and violence is also a sign that public opinion has turned decisively against the Zionist narrative.
