Using Israel’s tactics in Minnesota

Many of us familiar with the behaviour of the Israeli military will have seen footage of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in the USA, most obviously in Minneapolis but also in Chicago, California and New York, and noticed the similarities. This article argues that this is not a coincidence but the result of a close working relationship between US immigrant officers and the Israeli government. “This collaboration has included trips ferrying high-level U.S. law enforcement officials around Israel, joint training for immigration officers, and technology transfers that have put sophisticated surveillance capabilities in the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The result has been an increasing mind meld between security agencies in Israel and the United States.”
There are many reasons why Israel’s seeming impunity for decades of violating international law is dangerous, these are some of them.

Given what we read in this article, it would appear (as it appeared to many of us at the time) that Maxine Peake’s comment in her interview with The Independent in 2020, referring to US police tactics used against George Floyd, was basically right. Peake claimed that they were learned from joint seminars with Israeli security forces, a claim that, shared by then Education Secretary Rebecca Long-Bailey, led to the latter’s dismissal from her post on grounds of antisemitism.
Since Kier Starmer seems to be in U-turn mode, perhaps he’d like to admit that he was as wrong then and he was over winter fuel, over the two-child benefit, over … you name it!
I have felt for some time that Israel’s impunity in its genocide of indigenous inhabitants of the land which well-armed Israel violently colonised is leading the way internationally. And now gun-slinging USA government agents are killing USA citizens who get in their way. I read previously about training in Israel. The evil is actually encouraged by the imposed effective dictatorship of our own establishment politicians and establishment mass media.
