UK Lawyers for Israel: formal complaint against the Director

JVL Introduction

The Charity Commission is investigating UK Lawyers for Israel’s charitable trust and now a formal complaint has been made to the Solicitors Regulation Authority in relation to the Director of the legal part of the organisation.  One of the many areas of concern outlined in the article below, are the use of lawsuits to prevent public participation. (SLAPPS – explained below).

In the past, JVL has been aware of some examples of UKLFI suggesting, eg that a meeting is not held in an organisation’s premises, or a particular performer or speaker is not included and legal terms are used to, eg make it worrying if not impossible for, eg a small community centre or a faith building run on volunteer or very limit staff time, to resist the pressure.

For more information on the actions of UKLFI, a recent article, Novara Media outlined many of that organisation’s actions and you can access the excellent video by Led by Donkeys here.

The progress with these complaints is something to keep an eye on,

  • UKLFI i snot the only body stifling criticism of Israel. David Taylor supposedly representing his constituents in Hemelstead campaigns in parliament to have UK government complain about Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur for Palestine. Utter scumbag.

  • This is long overdue, as is the investigation into their charitable status. They are foreign agents attacking the democratic rights of UK citizens.

  • About time! What has the Charity Commission been doing for all these years? But NB , UKLFI can still be a powerful well-funded pressure group even if its charity status is taken away.
I’d also really like to see some investigation into the opaque Zionist journal ‘Fathom, which seems to have drawn in so many well-known names and gives an impression of opulent funding.
