Been here before? The year is 2008.
Three years earlier Israel had withdrawn its troops and settlers from the Gaza Strip only to maintain de facto control of movement into and out of the area in collaboration with Egypt.
In the elections in Palestine the following year, Hamas emerged as the largest single party. Sanction were rapidly imposed by the West and in the ensuing eruption of violence between Fatah – encouraged by the US – and Hamas, the latter emerged victorious in the Gaza Strip, leading to the imposition of an indefinite blockade by Israel.
Tensions continued to mound and, on 27th December 2008 Israel launched air strikes against various targets in Gaza, blaming it on Hamas rockets, followed by a ground attack on 3rd January in a war that lasted 22 days.
Henry Siegman, a former head of the American Jewish Council and the Synagogue Council of America, looked at the arguments used to justify Israel’s military incursion and said at the time that they were simply lies.
How little has changed since then except that the lies and the murdrous assaults have grown worse…

Israel is acting like a deranged fascist state totally out of control, allowed and supported by the US (particularly Biden) and the UK (all political parties), Germany (in the extreme) and France and the rest of the EU. The genocide is likely to achieve its final solution if the Rafah assault is allowed to be completed. Gaza will be left totally destroyed with mass civilian deaths due to bombing and starvation, all being carried out while attention is deflected in Lebanon and Iran (with a possible Middle East war provoked by Netanyahu). Israel will act with complete impunity, possibly try to drive Hamas and the Palestinians out entirely, and then takeover the whole of Gaza, occupying it and developing it for settlers, while it completes the running genocide in the West Bank, where it is killing and destroying with the greatest cruelty and terror. Israel hopes to complete its dream of a “full Eretz Israel” that it started in 1948. Who will stop this? The whole international consensus of human rights and international law has been taken apart, while the US and the West maintain their hegemony.
Nothing changes, Israel Lies and keeps the Nakba moving forward, while at the same time, tries to convince the world that it is the victim and always has been.
Its problem is the whole world knows it is and always has been lying.
Right now it is going for the complete ethnic cleaning of what is left of Palestine. There are daily attacks in the West Bank by armed Settlers aided by the IDF, Gaza has been made uninhabitable. To them they have almost completed their target of taking Palestine and turning it into the greater Israel. This could only have happened if the U.S. UK and EU Countries supported them and that is exactly what has happened. How and Why?? The US has always seen Israel as its own Middle East, Fully Armed Military Base, the UK Arms Industry has made fortunes selling Israel Arms, the EU Countries are desperate for the Gas under Gaza, since the Nordstream Pipelines were blown up.
Netanyahu has already issued licenses to BP and other Oil giants to extract the Gas.
What happens next could be a turning point. Israel murdering Iranian diplomats in the Damascus Embassy, could turn out to be a big mistake.
