Days after October 7 a clip went viral, claiming to show pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Sydney, Australia chanting “Gas the Jews”.
Despite its obvious faults mainstream media endorsed its veracity, broadcasting it widely.
It was a fake.
The ABC journalist Antoinette Lattouf who questioned it was later sacked.
A hundred days later, after an exhaustive investigation by New South Wales police, “Police review finds no evidence ‘gas the Jews’ phrase chanted at Sydney Opera House protest.”
Craig Murray argues that “The point is that Israeli propaganda can be of extremely low quality and obviously fake. It does not matter.”
Politicians and MSM will buy it and retail it because they have bought into the Zionist narrative.

One of the worst culprits of twisting the story of events, using phrases that put a slant on the truth is the BBC. It also repeats the words Hamas an organisation that the UK Government describes as a Terrorist group, which is to reinforce the public’s view that they must be Terrorists.
The power of the MSM in persuading the public to believe a story is immense and is very persuasive. After putting the truth to friends so often, I now have to bite my tongue when I hear them repeating the Lies and it’s so frustrating.

Another outright lie repeated ad nauseam is that the Houthis are targeting ships indiscriminately, rather than targeting ships connected to or trading with Israel for the duration of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. It is true that since the US and UK have started bombing them the Houthis have perfectly rationally expanded their targets to include US and UK shipping, but the mendacity of UK government claims has been exposed by shipping experts. The following is from Middle East Eye 5/2/2024:
“The US has said the Houthis are indiscriminately targeting ships in the Red Sea, but Dirk Siebels, a maritime security expert at Risk Intelligence, a Danish risk assessment firm, said that was “a political argument, not one that is backed up by the available evidence. The Houthis have had some collateral damage, but all in all, they have been pretty accurate,” he told MEE.”
Of course of the US/UK axis seriously wanted to avoid ‘collateral damage’ to shipping all they need do is (1) stop bombing the Houthis and (2) provide the Houthis with accurate intelligence as to exactly which ships are bound for Israeli ports or involved in Israeli trade.
That way they would switch from criminally aiding and abetting genocide to actively hindering it as required by the Genocide Convention.
The blatantly false story put about by Australian mainstream news media is also typical of the establishment media in Britain. I agree with Bernie that our self-described ‘trusted’ BBC is sadly often the worst. The BBC has put up self-described ‘investigations’ having ultra-biased pre-written scripts. The BBC occasionally broadcasts a decent independent informed comment, but, unlike much of its stuff, it soon disappears into the depths and is easily lost.
Objective people can observe that many of the allegations of ‘antisemitism’ are unproven and are self-interested or malicious. But all lapped-up by self-interested establishment media and self-interested establishment politicians.
I think that the allegations against the UNRWA lack sound evidence, have originated from self-interested sources and do not really amount to much. Yet they are being put above aid to people suffering ongoing genocide.
Our own self-determination and democratic choice are being undermined.
I have concluded that the majority know they are lies. But they enjoy the superficial moral pretence and their careers and mortgages are slightly less precarious when they comply.
