Olivia Colman among 1000+ artists accusing art institutions of censorship on Palestine
JVL Introduction
More than a thousand artists have spoken out against the “repressing, silencing and stigmatising Palestinian voices and perspectives” which has involved cancelling events and threatening the livelihoods of artists and arts workers who express solidarity with Palestinians.
The letter links to seventeen cases of such harassment and points to the double standards involved, in which expressions of solidarity so readily offered to others facing brutal oppression are not extended to Palestinians.

Voltaire said that if you want to know who’s in charge of a society, look at who you’re not allowed to criticise.
If Zionism isn’t put back firmly in its box, and soon, both Jews and all humanity will pay a terrible price.

It’s fantastic to know that so many artists are against the behaviour of Israel. Let’s hope it spreads to other groups of people.
Hugely impressive list of artists of every imaginable sort which could and should be added to x 20,000.
Interesting that so far no multi millionaire footballers, sports people and high profile so called ‘Celebrities’ other than Gary Lineker dont appear to have spoken out in any noticeable way about the ongoing US/UK backed Israeli Genocide of The Palestinian People presently taking place in Gaza ….that I am aware of (I stand corrected if that isnt the case).
A sporting boycott of The murderous racist Israeli Apartheid state is as important as an artistic and cultural one….Move forward
